Queensgate was the first company to bring capacitive sensors to the high‑precision positioning market, launching a range of nanopositioning products for microscopy in 1985. Subsequently, we introduced digital control technology to enhance accuracy and stored calibration data on the motion stages themselves, enabling full interchangeability between stages and controllers. Continuous innovation has allowed our nanopositioning stages to operate at bandwidths exceeding 40% of their resonant frequency – which is 4 to 5 times faster than comparable systems.
In 2018, the company was acquired by Prior Scientific Instruments Ltd, a global leader in precision motion, automation, and the development of optical systems, subsystems, and components.
