Welch Allyn is an American manufacturer of medical diagnostic devices and patient monitoring systems, founded in 1915 in Auburn, New York by Dr. Francis Welch and inventor William Noah Allyn. The company invented the world‘s first hand-held, direct-illuminating ophthalmoscope, revolutionizing eye examinations and establishing the foundation for over a century of diagnostic innovation. Headquartered in Skaneateles Falls, New York, Welch Allyn remained family-owned for 100 years.

Welch Allyn’s product portfolio includes physical examination diagnostic tools such as ophthalmoscopes, otoscopes, blood pressure devices and stethoscopes, patient monitoring systems, digital and connected care solutions, and miniature precision lamps.
